Seafood Boil Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds small red potatoes, halved

  • 2 pounds smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces

  • 8 ears corn, husked and cut in half

  • 2 pounds large shrimp, in shells

  • 2 pounds crawfish

  • 1/2 cup Old Bay seasoning

  • 1/4 cup salt

  • 2 lemons, quartered

  • 1 gallon water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the pot: In a large pot or Dutch oven, combine the water, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and lemons. Bring to a boil.

  2. Add potatoes and sausage: Add the potatoes and sausage to the pot. Cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are almost tender.

  3. Add corn: Add the corn to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.

  4. Add seafood: Add the shrimp and crawfish to the pot. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and the crawfish are bright red.

  5. Drain and serve: Drain the contents of the pot and transfer to a large serving platter or table. Serve immediately, with plenty of napkins and your favorite dipping sauces.
