When I spend a few minutes thinking about my earliest musical memories of what my parents and family used to play R&B, rap, pop, hip-hop, blues-based rock, funk, classical music, and jazz. I would describe some of the music as sleepy, so very calming. Nope, my parents listened to a wide range of music. This is part of the reason I listen to all kinds of genres, I would say. No, I don’t listen to all these genres or most of these styles except for R&B, hip-hop, rap, and pop. I don’t listen to these styles regularly anymore, but only mostly when I'm around them. I feel like I should go to the next room, because that is just not my likely if I feel like listening. I honestly could tell you why, especially if it is the whole song. My childhood listening experiences played a significant role in shaping my current musical preferences. Because my parents are what I call music heads. They loved listening to music and always dancing or singing.
Popular Music when I was in High School
As I have spent time researching the musical styles and artists who were most prominent during my high school years that everyone was always listening to or rapping between 2011 to 2015. What comes to mind these five artists were popular and one of their biggest hits between thoughts years was Lil Wayne whose biggest hit was “she will’, Drake's biggest hit was “The motto”, Rihanna's biggest hit was “We Found Love”, Katey Perry biggest hit was “Firework”, and Bruno Mars biggest hit was “Grenade”. And the most popular genres in the years 2011 to 2015 were rap, hip-hop, pop, and R&B.
The considering songs that were part of the top music on the charts of the music of my preferred genre have in common that two are motivational songs and two are centered around love music. The themes of love and motivation that emerge in the lyrics are what is the characteristic “sound” which dominates these particular years of 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. Considering the artists who made these chart-toppers famous, their primary similarities are that they are very great performers, they have been on the top 100 billboards multiple times, success in both their albums and their singles. And the differences between the artists are their sounds of music, their flow, and their genres.

Yes, the artist extended previous styles of the genre hip hop and entirely new sounds also into R&B and rap. Rihanna's song We Found Love expresses how you can find love in unexpected places, such as the smallest of things. The issues she highlights are how we don't pay attention to how we can find love so quickly, but we make it difficult. Rihanna is known for nothing more than promoting products like Puma, her brand Fenty lingerie and makeup. Yes, the artist extended previous styles of the genre of hip-hop and entirely new sounds trying rap. And the song grenade by Bruno mars his words express how selfless he was for a person that wouldn't do the same for him. I Love different kinds of music in many Genres
When I used to have music apps like amazon music, iTunes, and pandora I always had a wide choice of music from rap, hip-hop, pop, r&b, Indie pop, Indie R&B, electric, country, instrumentals, nature sounds, and meditation sounds. The genres I would most frequently go-to were or is Indie pop or Indie R&B. When I'm down, I listen to more slow music like R&B that consists of the artists Jhene Aiko, 6lack, Jojo, and other indie artists. When I listen to country music, I am listening to a new type of love song. I frequently listen to meditation music, instrumental music, or natural sounds music when I can't sleep and need to relax my body and mind.
The types of music that give me energy and motivation are Indie Pop and Electric. And the types of music that calm you down are R&B, Indie R&B, and Pop. The music I mostly love to listen to is electric and indie R&B because of the up-bit sound especially if I'm down or want something that is not always too fast. So, some of these artists or bands I enjoy a lot are Galimatias, Alina Braz, Hippie Sabotage, Eric Bellinger, and Qveen Herby because of their lyrics. I went to Rihanna concerts in high school, which I very much enjoyed and loved. She sounds the same, but I was able to hear her voice more and more emotional connection. I bawled my eyes out at the song Stay, I felt it to the core of my soul.
